Steady my heart

In this chaotic life, its comforting to have a place to run to. I love this song. Steady my heart by Kari Jobe

Wish it could be easy
Why is life so messy
Why is pain a part of us
There are days I feel like
Nothing ever goes right
Sometimes it just hurts so much

But You're here
You're real
I know I can trust You

Even when it hurts
Even when it's hard
Even when it all just falls apart
I will run to You
Cause I know that You are
Lover of my soul
Healer of my scars
You steady my heart (x2)

I'm not gonna worry
I know that You got me
Right inside the palm of your hand
Each and every moment
What's good and what gets broken
Happens just the way that You plan

And I will run to You
And find refuge in Your arms
And I will sing to You
Cause of everything You are

You steady my heart (x2)

...
Beautiful isn't it?

Rediscover You

My new favourite song. I've not really listened to much of Starfield, thought they were a rock band but they're not. Rediscover you is the cry of my heart from the album The Saving One.

savannah

this song is instant love haha. I love it, been listening all day.

Savannah - Relient K

Savannah
I hope to be there by the morning
And see this pining all transforming
Into the arms of the Georgia sun

Savannah
I'd love to feel the heat the sunrise
Brushing rays across my
windshield as if one dries
The streams from off my face

Yet I know you'll be there
cause you'll know I'll want
you to be there
And we'll say hello as
you're smiling in love
And we'll sigh so relieved I believe
because we will both know by
tonight we'll feel normal again
But until then

Savannah
Our backs supported by a hammock
We sum up perfection like a handbook
And God knows it all too well

Savannah
We'll take a walk to find a gift shop
Who would've thought the
book that you bought
Would never come off the shelf

Yet I know you'll be there
cause you'll know I'll want
you to be there
And we'll say hello as
you're smiling in love
And we'll sigh so relieved I believe
because we will both know by
tonight we'll feel normal again
But until then
Until then
Until then

Baby
I spent my life wondering
Wondering when I'd find you
I searched for all these years
and now you're right here
I need you to know that
Everything makes sense when you're with me

Savannah
Walk out into the sultry evening
Cotton breathing when the sea winds
Brush the hair down around your neck

Savannah
You hold my hand like it's the first time
And all the feelings that our hearts find
Will be just what we expect

Yet I know you'll be there
cause you'll know I'll want
you to be there
And we'll say hello as
you're smiling in love
And we'll sigh so relieved I believe
because we will both know by
tonight we'll feel normal again
But until then
Until then
Until then

I love Relient k <3

in my heart

For some reason this piece was in my mind and i didnt know what album it was from, or who wrote it just the tune, so frantic i was trying to find the tune until somehow i kind of figured it has to be yiruma. I'm in the mood for instrumental/sentimental music now. This is my belief by Yiruma and i love it.

when she's near

Loving this song like a lot. Who is fiction family?

Jon Foreman of Switchfoot and Sean Watkins of Nickel Creek have come together to create FICTION FAMILY. Their self-titled debut album will be released on January 20 by ATO Records, and is available for PREORDER NOW. This marks the first full-length effort for the all-star duo. The album features 12 original tracks written, arranged and recorded by Watkins and Foreman at their homes in San Diego.

When She's Near - Fiction Family

My cover is blown, I'm faded and dreary.
When my love is away my cover is blown.
When she leaves me alone I'm weathered and weary.
The nights are the days when my love is away.

When she's near the new year's here,
And there is not a resolution that I cant do.
I see things clearly when shes near me.
when she's near me all the world is new.

When life is revexed I stop thinking clearly.
I can get so afraid that I push her away.
Repentance is next, I miss her so dearly.
See those nights are the days when my love is away.

When she's near the new year's here,
And there is not a resolution that I cant do.
I see things clearly when shes near me.
when she's near me all the world is new.

I'm waiting for the day when I am on her mind.
I'm waiting for the day when loves no longer blind, blind.

When she's near the new year's here,
And there is not a resolution that I cant do.
I see things clearly when shes near me.
When she's near me all the world is new.
When she's near me all the world is new.
When she's near me all the world is new.

melody of you

I know i've talked about sixpence none the richer before. I really like them la especially the voice of their lead singer leigh nash. I think she has a very distinctly beautiful voice.

I've searched a bit and couldn't find the influences for the song melody of you but couldn't really find much. I like this song because of the nice guitar accompaniment if you can it that. Its not like most songs, there's no noise, nothing unnecessary, just the instruments and her voice, straight to the point, soothing. Enjoy this with me.

Melody of you

you're a painting with symbols deep, symphony
soft as it shifts from dark beneath
a poem that flows, caressing my skin
in all of these things you reside and I
want you flow from the pen, bow and brush
with paper and string, and canvas tight
with ink in the air, to dust your light?
from morning to the black of night

[Chorus]
this is my call I belong to You
this is my call to sing the melodies of You
this is my call I can do nothing else
I can do nothing else

you're the scent of an unfound bloom
a simple tune
I only write variations to sooth the mood
a drink that will knock me down to the floor
a key that will unlock the door
where I hear a voice sing familiar themes
then beckons me weave notes in between
a bow and a string, a tap and a glass
you pour me till the day has passed....

when God ran

Yesterday there was this show on the Australia network by Richard Dawkins. He's the one earlier this month behind a campaign in the UK that put up banners on buses that read "there's probably no God so stop worrying and enjoy your life". Needless to say he's an atheist.

Well on this show he was coming against superstitious beliefs and called them amongst other things utter rubbish. As a scientist he believes in the big bang theory and as a professor in biology he of course believes in the evolution of man from very primitive to the homo sapiens we are now. As far as he is concerned whatever you cannot test and verify scientifically is nonsense.

I liked that program, because it helped me compare. Although I also don't believe in superstition, I can imagine how a man like that could right off everything that does not make scientific sense. I can imagine that at some point in his life he has as most of us have asked the question who am I? Where did I come from, and where am I going and have found the answers that science provided enough to satisfy his curiosity. But I bet he does not know how it is that God can take someone that science and sometimes the world have condemned and rejected as nothing and bring him to prominence, like Joseph or how someone as cowardly as Gideon could lead the Israelites to victory. Or how it feels to wake up one day and realize that all your sins are no more, gone like they never happened.

This morning I woke up to this song and I've been listening to it all day thanks to Stanley and Yan Hui :)

high spirits

I love music a lot, and i spend a lot of time getting them and listening. At the moment i have about 10gigs worth of music in my itunes music library. I kind of prefer itunes to windows media player or winamp or songbird or any other music player out there because of the so many things you can do with it.

I discovered smart playlists lately and have been having so much fun with it. Really give it a try, you will love those little things that you discover while using it that you won't go back to anything else. Especially now with the genius recommendation engine, you can find songs that go well together and create a playlist out of it. Simply brilliant.

Since Ben died on me {Ben is my old computer, a benq joybook 2000e} i've been discovering new music. I have some of my favourite albums that were on Ben and a whole lot more. Basically i hear a new song and if i like it i'll get the album :) and its been really good just listening through all the wonderful songs that are on there.

A personal habit is to create different playlist of certain types of songs i like and today i want to share my most favourite playlist, i call it 'high spirits' see it here.
  • We Shine - Fee - God of This City
  • The Real Party - Mary Mary - Mary Mary
  • His Love - Hillsong - God He Reigns
  • Forever - Sarah Kelly - Take Me Away
  • Life is - Sarah Kelly - Take Me Away
  • Better - Brooke Fraser - What to do with Daylight
  • Angel of the Lord - New Life Worship - My saviour Lives
  • Time Has Come - Hillsong United - With Hearts as One
  • Love is woth the fight - Lanae' Hale - Lanae' Hale EP
  • No Ordinary Love - Toby Mac - Portable Sounds
  • Happy - Ayeishe Woods - Wow Hits 2007
  • Inside Outside - Delirious? - World Service
Guarranteed to life up your spirit. Have a lovely weekend.

if you just smile

Hi there,
even though i like a lot of different genres of music, my absolute favourite has got to be those classical jazz, symphony orchestra and classical instruments with some opera here and there. I've been discovering or shall i say rediscovering the music i loved and still love and grew up with. They remind me of my childhood and tnt classical movies and all the beautiful scores to all the beautifully written movies in glorious black and white and the technological miracle of technicolor.

Needless to say i'm in a happy mood. I absolutely love the voice of Nat king cole and this is one of my favourite songs, smile.

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though its breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, youll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
Youll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
Thats the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
Youll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

Thats the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
Youll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

落雨聲

The chinese in me likes this song. Found it in one of my favourite xanga site. Before blogger i was in xanga, now i'm not so much there anymore. Its nice and there have been a lot of changes but i'm here for a reason and sometimes i miss the people there. Its funny how people are influenced by others. There's a very good video that shows this but thats another post. Enjoy if you can, the vocals are great imho.

. . .

The Sound of Rain

the sound of rain's like a song
though i'm afraid to listen
being away from home, i feel cold
the lonely sound of rain touches my heart

a solitary man is like a bird with broken wings
doomed to be incapable of flying
a solitary man is like a bird with broken wings
the ever standing mountain in my homeland
will be the only one whom i tell my secrets to

i arrive at my native shore, which has not changed
what was the reason for me to leave?
every time it hurts to hear you mention this

you don't have to wait until you've become sucessful to show devotion
those who have a loving mother are the most fortunate
you don't have to wait until you've become sucessful to fulfill your filial duty
by then she might have already departed

you don't have to wait until you've become sucessful to show devotion
those who have a loving mother are the most fortunate
every day you work so hard
yet you don't even know what it's for

you don't have to wait until you've become sucessful to fulfill your filial duty
by then she might have already departed
no matter how bitterly you cry
she would no longer be there to pat your cheeks dry.

I know its quite sad but sometimes sadness is not a bad thing in itself.
