The short of it is this. Yes there's such a thing as rapture. No its not today. Why is it not today? Well some people claim they know the day while no one can really know. Here's what the bible says:
However, no one knows the day or the hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son (Jesus)* himself. Only the Father (God)* knows. Matthew 24:36
