quick update

Well tomorrow is the big day, i'm having my first paper, management. It should be ok by the grace of God and thursday is the final one. I just want to thank God for seeing me through thus far and yeah to praise him.

Now recently i've been thinking about Jabez, i dont know why but why is he so special, its almost like God was partial for one moment, i mean why should his prayers be answered, is it because of his name? I know there are some books out that try to explain why but i want to find the reason for myself.

And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because i bore him with sorrow.
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested (1 chronicles 4:9-10)

Sorry, i used the old king james because i prefer the way the words are put here.

From this passage, Jabez was already more honorable than his brothers yet something gave him the need to ask God to bless him indeed. Why so greedy ah? I mean i dont get it. I guess i'll be thinking more on this and post my thoughts, in the mean time if you have any insight please share them, i'll love to hear it.

exams exams

Next week: Exams, 31st and 2nd
This week: Study hard, hari raya {oh my}

Temptations. Honestly i'm not studying as hard as i should. Maybe i'm over confident and thats bad.

Well joshua is in kuching, so is li ern while mark, connie and yin fern {please forgive me if its spelt wrong} are leaving this week. Man what a week! God desires for his son to rise up in each one of us and thats something we must desire too, and what ever it takes, we must pay the price for the rewards are so great.

I have learnt, and even though i've heard this before, not to come to God's present with my motives, agenda, but to submit myself to his will and allow him do his work in me. Never to come without an expectation. Of course the presence of God is everywhere which means... Figure it out.

Ok la its almost 9, i need to get some studying done before i fail, hehe.

xie xie

I just want to thank God for my studies, this is turning out to be one of my best semesters especially as its the short semester. I've dreaded the short semester for so long and have blamed it for my less than stellar academic performance but this time its different. God gives me double for my trouble haha.

This week has been awesome, starting sunday. Its been really good for someone like me, i feel like the walls i used to hide behind are just crumbling down and God is just searching for me like adam in the garden of eden, where are you oguchi? You know you cant hide there for long, i love you and i'm still interested in you. You are my son. Its been great, indeed no one can understand the depths of God's love, so dont try. That said he desires that i feel like he feels and see the hurts and needs of the people around me, see through all the walls they hide behind and be a source of healing. Because was all need him, we ALL do.

Mark is in town, and i just bless God for his life, yeah. Its not him but God in him thats doing all the mighty works. If there's one thing i would like to remember for the rest of my life its this; i am loved by God. Perfect love expells all fear.

Jesus i just want to thank you for who you are, and for who i am. I thank you for accepting me and for loving me even though i'm not completely everything you desire of me but i want to live for you, see you glorified through me, help me in all my weaknesses, help me come to you in humility, on your terms. You are my father, but you are also King.

cornerstone

Since the nigerian sunday, i've been bumping more and more into the folks at SIB {hehe i mistakenly typed SIN just now}, yeah, its been positive la, the last time was dinner at dr tnay's house {i hope i got the spelling right}.

Well this time, i was invited by mr michael to their cornerstone fellowship, its kind of geared towards the young adults, their was a need to cater for these people who are too old for the youth fellowship and too young for the men's fellowship so cornerstone was formed. If you ask me its a good idea la. Its good to have a time of fellowship and strengthen one another.

Well the main reason why i went, i guess why mr michael invited me was to watch a missions movie, he guessed i'll be interested, i didnt mind but it didnt play on any of the laptops in the house. The thing with some dvds, thats why i dont buy them. There's no guarranttee they would play and i feel reluctant sending them back. So what did we do instead, well we introduced ourselves, got acquainted and sang some rather old songs, i love old songs :)

Then sarah {the host} got a cd, well actually a vcd called drunk before dawn, its an SIB production and it was rather nice, close to professional imo. It was about the lunbawa {is the right? i'm good with these traditional spellings} people and how missionaries brought christianity to their community, whats more it was a musical.

We couldnt stay long though, and it was late anyway, some of us had to work some more so we left after having some cake and milo along with other snacks { i dont like calling it junk food, i feel like i'm eating well junk}. The nice was nice, no not the milo but the other drink, dunno what it is but it was nice. yeah.

I like the spirit behind the cornerstone fellowship, something i see almost everywhere i go is young people being co-ordinated to be all they can be in christ touching the lives of people within their region of influence. I see young people coming together to pray and seek God's face, coincidence? Never, something is happening, question is, what is my role in it? What is your role? Lets get into God.
