cornerstone

Since the nigerian sunday, i've been bumping more and more into the folks at SIB {hehe i mistakenly typed SIN just now}, yeah, its been positive la, the last time was dinner at dr tnay's house {i hope i got the spelling right}.

Well this time, i was invited by mr michael to their cornerstone fellowship, its kind of geared towards the young adults, their was a need to cater for these people who are too old for the youth fellowship and too young for the men's fellowship so cornerstone was formed. If you ask me its a good idea la. Its good to have a time of fellowship and strengthen one another.

Well the main reason why i went, i guess why mr michael invited me was to watch a missions movie, he guessed i'll be interested, i didnt mind but it didnt play on any of the laptops in the house. The thing with some dvds, thats why i dont buy them. There's no guarranttee they would play and i feel reluctant sending them back. So what did we do instead, well we introduced ourselves, got acquainted and sang some rather old songs, i love old songs :)

Then sarah {the host} got a cd, well actually a vcd called drunk before dawn, its an SIB production and it was rather nice, close to professional imo. It was about the lunbawa {is the right? i'm good with these traditional spellings} people and how missionaries brought christianity to their community, whats more it was a musical.

We couldnt stay long though, and it was late anyway, some of us had to work some more so we left after having some cake and milo along with other snacks { i dont like calling it junk food, i feel like i'm eating well junk}. The nice was nice, no not the milo but the other drink, dunno what it is but it was nice. yeah.

I like the spirit behind the cornerstone fellowship, something i see almost everywhere i go is young people being co-ordinated to be all they can be in christ touching the lives of people within their region of influence. I see young people coming together to pray and seek God's face, coincidence? Never, something is happening, question is, what is my role in it? What is your role? Lets get into God.

  1. hey, good to know that you're joining the cornerstone. Yea, i know the feeling of being in between, too old for youth and too old for men's fellowship. hehe.
