think about his love

The past few days have been kind of strange for me. I've been having 'good worries' and some not to good worries but in all of it, God is in control.

In a few weeks or months, I will be leaving kuching and I remember talking with Joshua and telling him bethany is like family to me, was talking with eilyn and telling her that kuching is like my home and its kind of strange leaving this place after such a long time, so many friends to go somewhere else and start all over again. Well not really all over again but it just won't be the same.

In my time here i've really changed within, but i still dont talk much so its difficult to keep a conversation going if you dont talk much too, we just look at each other and smile once in a while hehe :p I am fearfully and wonderfully made!

After my diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering i had a crazy idea to do something else. Was not sure if it was the right thing to do but i was sure I was not going to continue in engineering. So i made applications and to my shock i was accepted. {Victory number 1}. As you can imagine I was thrilled and just fell down to my face and kept repeating thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you to God. If you know me, then you know i'm not a very good student, i only get a few As and once i missed my exam so i had to take it again in the next semester but this was too much.

Now i had to explain to my father...oooooooow! Kept procastinating and putting it off until I got an email from the man asking me about my admission and stuff so i explained to him everything. I was very scared, didnt know what to expect from him, was very unsettled but part of me was at peace. It was like whatever it is i'll take it. He replied with a positive response and i was like God thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

I really dont deserve anything good from God, but somehow He just decides to keep the smile on my face, so when you see me smiling all the time you know God has been very very GOOD to me. I feel there is more to come, more surprise as long as we remain in him. Part of the S.M.S we are doing has this very in matthew i think, or john hehe not sure now but it says If you remain in me and my word remains in you, you may ask whatever you wish and it will be given to you. In another part it says the ernest expectations of the righteous will not be cut off. And my favourite part of the bible, the psalms has this in the 139th chapter about us... Every moment of our lives was laid out before a single day has passed. Every day of our life is recorded in his book.

So today, think about his love, think about his goodness and thank him :)

nadal wins at roland garros again

Its always nice to see two of the best tennis players in the world meet each other in an explosive final. Roland Garros just happens to be the stage this time. Roger Federer has always wanted a win in the french, the only grand slam tournament that has eluded this world number 1 but it was not to be this year, maybe some other time.

I didn't watch the whole match, just the first set and parts of the second but I predicted it was going to be a 5 set match and I was wrong, Nadal won in 4 sets beating the Swiss almost shamefully.

The first set was quite interesting, both players made incredible shots that seemed to re-affirm their positions on the top. But we saw even in the first what separates the two players especially in this surface.

Federer had not recovered from his error ridden game play, I guess that's what you get when you fire your coach and think you're good enough. This weaker side of Federer was very apparent when he played against Nikola Davydenko, a fine young man, very talented player but makes too many errors especially at times and places when he just can't afford to. He really gave Federer a tough match but the world number 1 managed to scale through with a 7-5 7-6 7-6 win over Mr. Davydenko.

But back to Federer, I liked eurosport's analysis of his game

Federer, who was attempting to complete the career grand slam by gaining the only major that has eluded him, hand the wind completely taken out of his sails by the epic sixth-game, and was subsequently broken to love after committing repeated errors.

The calm ten-time grand slam winner came back in the next game to earn a triple-break point, but again Nadal saved all three as Federer hit error-after-error.

The error mounted, and mounted and the Spaniard took good opportunities his 29 unforced errors his inability to break point. He only won 1 out of 17 chances, you just can't play like that against the king of clay.

synergy concert

The synergy concert was Greeeeeeat. Unlike what i've experienced before with planetshakers and other bands that have come. I guess it was because we got to know the people so it wasn't just singing songs and thrilling crowds, you could see the heart of it all.

On saturday christine shared about righteousness, being righteous in our heart, mind, life, thoughts and so on. Loving God with all your heart, mind, soul, strength and loving our neighbours as ourselves. Of course its nothing new but it was genuine and it touched me again. And yeah she's funny, naturally.

Sunday, as saturday some of the guys joined with the bethany music team to sing praises to our God. But my favourite time came when we prayed for the concert, everyone just blazing in tongues, it was loud, it was powerful, it felt good. There i was thinking, all the Aussie guys and girls, one South African, one Nigerian and a whole bunch of Malaysian speaking one language to one God. As i write this i'm reminded of the time when we went to for the camp at genting view, we were on the train to the shopping mall and there it was loud and me being quiet and observing, i turned around and there were all these people. Some sitting, some standing, some tired and slouching speaking different languages. I couldnt understand any one of it it was like wow.

The concert was really good. The turn out amazed me. Just last minute we sold almost a hundred tickets thanks to handsome sam, who drew them. They couldn't resist his handsome-ness :-P The music was really good. Like christian was saying, somehow it sounds better live. I guess thats why people like to see bands play live.

After the concert we went to central park to eat, laugh out loud, {lol} talk and after a night of fun and laughter it was time to go home. Good byes were said, emails taken, fond memories made. Praise God

There hasn't been much to post about lately. My days have been quite bland in ways. The synergy concert is coming up, should be really good.

There's one thing i've been feeling about the concert. I've been reminded no to despise small beginnings. Although the ticket sales were not fantastic like planetshakers, i believe God arranged for the people who are coming to be touched and blessed specially. In fact that's what i was praying for. Its like God those people you've called to come, let them come and be blessed forever. Even Jesus said, i have not come for the world. So come expecting.
